Sigurd tiene 12 años y es el tercer hijo del jarl Hakon. Se supone que debe ser fuerte y valiente, teniendo en cuenta que además su nombre le fue puesto en honor al legendario guerrero Sigurd el Matador de Dragones. Pero este Sigurd no lo es. Rehuye las situaciones violentas de la vida cotidiana de la granja, como el entrenamiento con hacha y espada, para las que no tiene ninguna habilidad (aunque es buen arquero) o la paliza que propinan a un niño esclavo, por lo que recibe burlas de todo tipo. Sigurd is 12 years old and is the third son of Jarl Hakon. It is supposed to be strong and brave, bearing in mind that his name was also named after the legendary warrior Sigurd the Dragon Slayer. But this Sigurd is not. He shies away from the violent situations of daily farm life, such as ax and sword training, for which he has no skill (although he is a good archer) or the beating that they give to a slave child, reason why it receives jokes of all type. The death of his father and his brothers suddenly makes him the head of the farm, and then he must make decisions, especially regarding another group of enemy Vikings who have attacked them on several occasions.
